I've long wanted a new digicam and a couple of days ago I bought an Olympus C-750 UZ. 10x optical zoom, 4mpixels, I love it. It wasn't exactly an impulse buy. I have been reading lots of reviews about it while saving up. A cool feature is the video record mode that creates basic 320*240 video clips suitable for publishing on the web. I made a short clip of a latte art pour tonight. A bit underexposed and with the noise of the lens autofocusing in the background, but I love having the ability to record video. There are so many areas within espresso making that haven't been recorded.
My new job is taking lots of energy, so I don't play barista as much as I normally would. It is not just the job. The darkness of the winter also makes me sleepy and lacking initiative. Guess I should join a gym or something, but I find that pretty boring.
