Still happy with E2K Junior. Found out today that I don't have to let out so much water before brewing as I thought. I've been reading archived alt.coffee posts about the need to let out as much as 200ml of water to get the grouphead temperature down before brewing (when the machine has been idle 15 mins or more). I've been doing something between 150ml and 200ml and found the espresso to be a bit on the neutral and boring side. Today I tried only letting out water until the obvious hissing stopped. Immediate improvement. Darker crema, richer shot, tiger flecking and a thicker stream. 3/27/2003 01:21:00 AM
