Did you know that a Norway vs Denmark barista competition will be held this month in Copenhagen? I think the date is 22nd of November in a downtown cafe. Apparently there will be a barista jam, some small workshops and the competition itself which will not be a standard barista competition, but something special to be announced there and then. More information will be posted on the www.scae.dk site and www.scae.no. I would love to go, but my family is coming to Oslo that weekend when i turn 29.
The norwegian barista championship will this year be held in Stjørdal close to Trondheim (16th-18th of April), in Hell hotel (cool name for a hotel huh? the place in Stjørdal is actually called Hell). Local qualification rounds for the national championship will be held during february in the various big cities around Norway.
